Narrated by Abdullah ibn Yusuf who said: Malik ibn Anas informed us from Ibn Shuhba from Salim ibn Abdullah from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) passed by a man from the Ansar who was advising his brother regarding shyness. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Leave him, for verily, shyness is from faith.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَرَّ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم “ دَعْهُ فَإِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ ”.
