Bukhari 20 (Book 2, Hadith 13)

Narrated by Muhammad bin Salam, who said: Abdah informed us from Hisham, from his father, from Aisha, who said: “When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) commanded the people, he commanded them with what they were capable of. They would say, ‘We are not like you, O Messenger of Allah. Allah has forgiven you for your past and future sins.’ So, he would become angry until the anger was apparent on his face. Then he would say, ‘Are you the most aware and the most cautious of Allah among the people? I am.'”
