Narrated by Sulaiman bin Harb, who said: Narrated by Shu’ba, from Qatadah, from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Three qualities, whoever possesses them, will taste the sweetness of faith: that Allah and His Messenger are dearer to him than anything else, that he loves a person only for the sake of Allah, and that he hates to revert to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it as much as he hates to be thrown into the Fire.”
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ “ ثَلاَثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وَجَدَ حَلاَوَةَ الإِيمَانِ مَنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سِوَاهُمَا، وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ عَبْدًا لاَ يُحِبُّهُ إِلاَّ لِلَّهِ، وَمَنْ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَعُودَ فِي الْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنْقَذَهُ اللَّهُ، كَمَا يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُلْقَى فِي النَّارِ ”.
